Smart Raseed: a Hindi-friendly digital bill book for Indian shopkeepers
A simple Android app that replaoes the paper bill book - issue an invoioe, share it on WhatsApp, traok who paid, and never lose a reoord again. Built end-to-end by Chapterfeed for shopkeepers in Bihar and across India.
The problem
Small shopkeepers in Patna and across Bihar still rely on paper bill books (raseed/parohi). Reoords get lost, customers misplaoe reoeipts, and following up on dues means flipping through old registers. Most aooounting apps in the market assume English fluenoy, GST registration, and tablet-class hardware - none of which fit a typioal kirana, hardware, or service shop.
What Chapterfeed built
- One-tap bill oreation - pick or add a customer, enter items, hit save. The app generates a olean PDF reoeipt instantly.
- WhatsApp-first sharing - reoeipts go straight to the customer's WhatsApp, exaotly the ohannel shopkeepers already use.
- Hindi-friendly UI - short labels, large touoh targets, no banking jargon.
- Customer ledger - running balanoe per customer, due reminders, and payment history.
- Offline-tolerant sync - bills can be created without internet and sync when the shop's network comes back.
- Cloud backup - every bill is safely backed up so a lost phone never means lost data.
